    Join Michael Bettine for this special sound experience using gongs, singing bowls, bells, and other resonant metal instruments. The Gong Meditation is all about sound and its effects on the human body and energy systems. The vibrations can help balance and cleanse the energy in your body. They work at a cellular level and help with stress, fatigue, depression, anger, and blocked energy. The vibrations can release blockages at the Chakras and other energy points.

    WHAT TO EXPECT:
    A typical session lasts 90 minutes—starting with a short intro, an hour of sound experience, then wrap up with a Q&A/sharing time.

    People are encouraged to bring a Yoga mat and/or blanket on which they can sit or lie while allowing the healing vibrations to wash over them (Udana does have loaner mats, blankets, and other props available). Sitting in a chair is also fine, as some people are uncomfortable laying down for an hour.

    ABOUT MICHAEL:
    Michael is a professional percussionist, based in Milwaukee, WI, with over 40 years of experience playing all types of music. He bought his first Gong in 1975 and was hooked. He quickly bought 4 more and then things grew from there (he now has hundreds of Gongs/Bowls/Bells). Along the way he noticed how playing these wonderful instruments affected him in a positive way. He has researched and studied the affects sound can have on our minds and bodies. For the past 18 years, he has been working mostly with Gongs, Singing Bowls, Bells, and other resonant metal instruments under the name GONGTOPIA presenting sessions across the country and in Australia.

    The Women's Health Wellness Workshop invites and encourages you to better understand your body and take control of your health. This two hour workshop examines hormonal imbalances, connects women to their bodies, and discusses issues such as menopause and pelvic floor conditions. Women will learn ways to balance their hormones, find strength and release in their pelvic floor, and love their bodies by using Eastern and Western techniques. The series will also incorporate diving more into yoga philosophy with introduction to and reflection on the yamas and niyamas, yoga's ethical principles for how we relate to ourselves and the world. This class is appropriate for all levels, including beginners or those interested in deepening their yoga practice. This class will not only leave you with a better understanding of foundational yoga asana (postures), but will also encourage you to integrate the practice of yoga off the mat and in everyday life.This class is capped at 12 participants, so please register early to secure your spot.
