Ayurveda Workshop
About Ayurveda:Ayurveda is considered by many scholars to be the oldest healing science. In Sanskrit, Ayurveda means “The Science of Life.” Ayurvedic knowledge originated in India more than 5,000 years ago and is often called the “Mother of All Healing.” Ayurveda is the path to achieving complete harmony of body, mind, and spirit. It is a wisdom designed to help people realize their full potential. It is the only science that acknowledges the beauty and uniqueness of every being. Ayurveda establishes the foundation for a happy and healthy life, attained through a journey into health and well-being. It teaches us that each person is unique, and understanding our body and energies allows us to make choices that help us feel our best—whether through food, lifestyle, body treatments or simple daily habits. Ayurveda is the science that describes measures and protocols about what is conducive to life, what leads to happiness, and how to live in a way that benefits both ourselves and others. Ayurveda places great emphasis on prevention and encourages the maintenance of health through close attention to balance in one’s life, right thinking, self care, lifestyle and the use of herbs and food as medicine. Last but not least Ayurveda is Yoga’s sister science.

Marinella’s Journey With Ayurveda
Marinella’s personal healing journey began when she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She was deeply motivated by her healer and mentor to pursue a conscious and healthy lifestyle, which has profoundly changed her. Inspired to improve the lives of others by sharing her life-changing journey with Ayurveda, she decided to become an Ayurvedic Wellness Practitioner and Holistic Counselor. Thanks to Ayurveda, Marinella has overcome Multiple Sclerosis and many of the symptoms related to it, such as low energy, anxiety, fatigue, and depression. Marinella firmly believes that our body has the intelligence and capacity to heal itself if given the proper care, tools, and attention. Health and happiness are our birthright, and Ayurveda can show us the path to reclaim them in the most gentle and natural way. Ayurveda is not about disease; Ayurveda is about living an abundant and healthy life! Marinella’s journey is ongoing as she continues to study under her Guru, Acharya Shunya, to expand her knowledge of Ayurveda, Yoga, and Advaita Vedanta (Non-dual philosophy), in order to help and serve those in need and the community at large.
Her Mission and Approach
In 2018, Marinella created EliMai Ayurveda to provide guidance to those who seek well-being that comes from within, using the body's intelligence as a catalyst. This well-being isn’t just physical or mental, but deeply rooted in our authentic essence, beyond stereotypes or societal roles—a true state of balance that merges our essence with our Ayurvedic blueprint. Only when we become aware of our Nature (Prakriti) can we reach our greatest potential and transform. Her coaching style is understanding and nurturing, providing a comfort zone for your aspirations and obstacles. Respecting your individuality, she offers non-judgmental support and guidance at your own pace. Adopting a comprehensive viewpoint, she considers your emotional, mental, and physical well-being, understanding that harmony in these facets leads to real progress. Together, you will uncover your inherent strengths, transform restrictive beliefs, and establish lasting change, always cherishing your individual journey and possibilities.
P.S. Curious about the meaning of 'EliMai'? It's the magic combo of her beautiful daughters' names.
