Create room for cultivating compassion and loving-kindness.The practice will start with basic meditation techniques and will gradually take up some specific features of Shingon-buddhist practice such as basic visualization techniques. Our teacher is Shaku Jinsen who studied and practiced buddhism in Japan for a period of ten years. He is a fully ordained Buddhist priest from the Shingon-school of Japanese Buddhism. He currently leads Yo e an, Centre for Shingon Buddhism, providing opportunities to practice meditation and learning more about Buddhism and the Shingon-tradition. This is a donation based meditation. We follow the buddhist principle of free donations.

Introduction to Mysore, a self-paced assisted practice based on the Ashtanga Vinyasa Method. Walking into a Mysore room can be intimidating in the beginning. This workshop will help you melt away any fear and stir your curiosity. It is designed for the absolute beginner, yogis transitioning from other styles and led classes, and more experienced practitioners looking to rebuild their practice after time away or recovery from an injury. You will learn foundational aspects of the practice, get familiarised with the asana sequence, get a taste of self-paced practice and look into the necessary skills of concentration, breath and body awareness. After this you will be ready to join our regular Mysore classes. What this workshop brings: 1 learning in a safe and compassionate environment 2 finding out what the traditional method of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is all about 3 what’s the difference between self-paced practice (Mysore) and a guided practice (led) and the importance of each 4 introduction to concentration, breath, and the internal aspects of the practice 5 prepare to join a regular Mysore program by learning a small foundational sequence
