About Alexis Tressler
Alexis came to yoga as a passionate marathon runner and now splits her time between running and yoga. Both moving meditations give her the opportunity to flex the mind and body muscles. Alexis also loves hiking, traveling and will take any chance she can get to soak up the sun and a good book. With her yoga roots in power yoga, Alexis has also trained with David Kyle and Steve Pyka in the rocket vinyasa system (created by Larry Schultz). She’s done additional training in yin and yoga sculpt. Alexis has over 5 years and 2500 hours of yoga instruction. Alexis loves the creative freedom available in both the rocket and power practices. She encourages her students to invite that same playfulness and exploration into their own practices. Alexis strives to create a practice space where students came come and practice as they are. About Leigh Grimes
Leigh was born in Baltimore but has spent all of her adult life between New York and Miami working in fashion production. She found yoga after a spinal injury that kept her down for almost a year. When she began her yoga journey, she didn't like yoga at all. She was healing, frustrated, and couldn't touch her toes. After a few weeks of continuing to show up on the mat, something clicked and she became obsessed. Her entire life had changed after the injury and finding this practice, she quit her job, and began on a new path of wellness.

Therapeutic Yoga
with Christine Tran
1 hour 15 minutes minutes
Therapeutic Yoga is a practice that helps rejuvenate the body, mind, and energy levels. This class is designed for students looking to find stillness through intentional movement and pausing in relaxation to cultivate self-compassion for the whole being. Students will be guided into gentle yoga postures and comfortable restorative poses fully supported by props (blankets, bolsters, and blocks) to lubricate the joints, rejuvenate the muscles, and release tension and stress. Therapeutic yoga is appropriate for all levels and can be adapted and modified for people with special conditions such as muscle/joint pain, stiffness, limited mobility, pregnancy, and fatigue or recovering from injuries.* Visualization, Reiki (energy healing), and essential oils are offered in class to enhance the relaxation and clear stagnation and blockages in the energetic body. Students will experience a deep meditative practice and learn the body's powerful and natural self-healing qualities. No yoga experience is required. *Please consult with your physician if gentle and restorative yoga is appropriate for specific injury/condition.
About Christine Tran
Christine Tran is a Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), Reiki Master, and Yoga Teacher Trainer (RYT 500) from California. She specializes in gentle and adaptive yoga, energy healing, and mindfulness practices to support self-care and to transform stress into balanced health. Christine makes holistic living accessible for people living in this fast-pace society and guides individuals to integrate wellness into everyday life. She believes that every moment of this lifetime is an opportunity to reconnect with our natural and peaceful Self. Her upbringing as a second generation Chinese American, love for traveling and connecting with different cultures around the world, and international education work inspired and led her to the path of healing and wellness. Christine is grateful for the experiences and practices that have opened space for her to see the light within and that we all have the opportunity to pause and be with the same inner peace and joy. She offers private yoga therapy sessions working with individuals to create a personal yoga lifestyle plan and realistic goals towards a vital and active life. Each session provides a support structure to empower the individual to maintain and enhance their health. Practices can include functional and mindfulness movement, breathing, meditation, energy healing, and lifestyle coaching to transform or upgrade habits to support the person’s overall well-being during various cycles of life. Christine is also trained in Reiki Jin Kei Do, which transformed her way of living into self-care and taught her to channel the life force energy that brings healing to the whole being. She offers private Reiki sessions using this ancient energy healing to bring balance to the individual’s physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. She also teaches group yoga classes, where students will find a focus on therapeutics, whether they are stretching, strengthening, or relaxing. In particular, her gentle and restorative yoga classes offer a release from the daily stresses of city life, and a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. In all settings, she offers an inviting, nurturing, and calming space for students to rediscover the natural healing powers of the body and the elements in nature, while deepening mind, body, and spirit connection. Christine is grateful for the teachings of Sri Dharma Mittra and her Dharma Yoga teachers in Washington, D.C. as well as her training in Comprehensive Yoga Therapy (Yoga Life Institute), Therapeutic Yoga (Cheri Clampett), and Reiki Jin Kei Do.

April Full Moon Circle with Latela Curatorial special event
with Latela Collective New!
2 hours minutes
The Full Moon marks a monthly moment for ritual to release energy, reset and realign. Join us for a Full Moon Circle at Eaton Wellness on Friday, April 19. This event will include a discussion on astrology associated with this moon's phase, meditation to align the chakras, journaling exercises, and a Reiki healing relaxation session to close the practice. April's Full Moon falls directly in between Libra and Scorpio: two signs that very much compliment one another. As air and water elements, themes such as bravery, independence, and harmony pop up. These themes may arise as indecisiveness or fear of being alone. It is common for one to be craving balance and a chance to reset at this time. Remove energy blockages and realign your chakras to prepare for summer manifestations.
