Restorative Yoga
Restorative Yoga uses props to create an environment for our mind and body to relax deeply. A regular restorative practice relieves stress and fatigue, soothes and stimulates the organs, regulates blood sugar levels, calms the mind and brings balance and health into the body. When we relax our nervous system deeply our body can begin to heal itself. Most of us live in a chronic state of stress, compromising our body's capacity for repair and inhibiting recovery from an existing illness, such as high blood pressure, back pain, digestive issues, immune dysfunction, reproductive problems and depression. The antidote to stress is relaxation! Restorative Yoga classes are suitable for all ages, fitness levels, and physical conditions.

Yin Yoga focuses on the connective tissues of the body through postures that are held in stillness and mindful awareness for several minutes at a time. These classes address tightness and toxin buildup in the joints and connective tissue through poses that are equally challenging for the mind and body. The result is not only more lubricated and flexible joints, but also a greater sense of balance, peace, and calm. Yin Yoga classes are suitable for all ages, fitness levels, and physical conditions. Props make the practice accessible to people of all abilities.

Great for people completely new to yoga, Beginner's Yoga class covers basic poses and discovering the correct posture and alignment for your body. We also discuss how poses benefit the body for health and well-being. Students will learn to develop and strengthen their personal practice by covering basic standing poses, forward bends, back bends, twists, and maybe an inversion or two!
