About Mary Angel Blount
Mary Angel Blount, MFA, RYT, comes to yoga from a roundabout route. Before she started training to be a yoga instructor, she taught college English for 23 years. “When I discovered yoga in the 1990s, I was teaching creative writing and composition. I was amazed at yoga’s effect on creativity,” she says. “Yoga lowered my self-criticism, so I could feel freer to create.” She continues: “Yoga is also phenomenal for stress. It speeds up the energy in my body and slows down the energy in my mind. It is the perfect reset! More than that, it’s bliss! My calling is to help others discover how profoundly and how positively yoga can affect us all.” In addition to teaching a variety of hatha/vinyasa yoga classes at Bliss Bliss Bliss such as Gentle Yoga and Bliss Flow, Mary Angel also teaches Chakra Yoga, a 75-minute class that includes chakra assessment & balancing, journaling, chanting, meditation, and asana. “The two forces running through our bodies—the liberation current and the manifestation current—are always fluctuating and thus, in constant need of balancing. Chakra Yoga helps us to balance our energy and dissolve our blocks to love and creative bliss.”

Chakra Yoga
with Mary Angel Blount
1 hour 15 minutes minutes
Chakra Yoga focuses on the energetic and symbolic representations on the asanas (poses). Stemmed from the practice of reiki healing, this flow class works with healing the body on all planes. Each class is uniquely structured depending on the chakra that is being worked on, or the elements and sounds of a chakra. Often students utilize natural elements like shells, or essential oils to bring focus and clarity to a particular chakra. This class is generally mild in terms of difficulty, but any asana or philosophy is up for exploration. "It was a beautiful class and your energy is radiant!" Brandi

Hot Vinyasa
with Melita Mollohan
1 hour minutes
The word “vinyasa” can be translated as “arranging something in a special way,” In a vinyasa yoga class, poses are arranged in a special way.The intention of the poses is to create an intentional space. In this class strength, balance, and breath are woven together to create a flow. The room is intentionally heated because of the many benefits heat offers to your body. Heat protects your muscles as they move through their full range of motion. Endorphins are released helping to reverse the negative effects of stress.
About Melita Mollohan
Yoga Therapist, E-RYT500, Akashic Record Reader Specialties: Akashic Record Reading, Breathwork, Meditation, Yoga Therapy, Hot Vinyasa, Yin Yoga You are the electricity and Melita is the light switch! Melita creates a sacred space for healing that combines deep understanding and knowledge, ownership of your own body, and humor. Melita believes that your growth and potential are only diminished by your own limiting beliefs. We are all powerful beyond measure. Melita started teaching Yoga in 2009 and started her Massage Therapy practice in 2010. She’s since then learned the subtle yet powerful healing of Bowen Therapy to help the body heal more quickly and more permanently. Even more importantly, she’s learned how much the energetic and emotional body affects the physical and that if you want to make any changes in your life you need to address the energetics first and foremost. She has since then added Akashic Record Readings to her practice and these have become one of her favorite ways to work with clients. She’s constantly amazed at how physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual issues can be resolved with time in the records. Another favorite way of working with groups is through the powerful healing of the breath. Your breath can move stuck emotional & physical energy. Breathwork helps with depression and anxiety, deepens your intuition, and increases creativity. Breathwork is an undercover manifestation tool that can clear the channel to align with your dreams. And most of all, it opens your heart to greater self-love. Melita offers Breathwork Circles every other month and they are an extremely powerful way to help heal your body, mind, and spirit. Melita still enjoys a strong physical and challenging yoga asana practice and continues to teach two classes in this format, Thursday at 5:30pm and Saturday 9am. In fact, she was the very first person in Morgantown to offer Hot Yoga. Yet her favorite way to work with private clients and small groups is with Yoga Therapy. Yoga Therapy simply put is self-care! Melita has found that no matter what clients are dealing with that Yoga can assist on their path. Yoga meets you exactly where you are. Yoga Therapy is for anyone dealing with any physical issue, ailment, disease, stress, anxiety, depression, addiction, respiratory and cardiovascular disorders, neurological disorders, digestive, hormonal, or immune system issues. About Kelly Nix
My yoga practice began in 2002 with Adrian Kettering in Morgantown, WV. After taking classes on and off for a few years, I attended a weekend workshop in 2006 at Amazing Yoga in Pittsburg. This was when I discovered Baptiste style Power Vinyasa Flow and knew I was on the right path. I completed my Level One Journey into Power Teacher Training with Baron Baptiste in 2007 located in New York Catskills, and began teaching yoga shortly thereafter. After taking some time off from teaching yoga to finish my PhD in Human and Community Development, I completed my Level Two Teacher Training with Amazing Yoga in 2013 located in Tulum, MX. I have a Master’s degree in Wellness Management and was instrumental in leading the charges for Morgantown, WV to become a Well City; an award given by the Wellness Councils of America. I was the Director of Wellness at Mon Health System in Morgantown for several years and then became the Director of Community Affairs for the Wellness Councils of America. I landed at West Virginia University where I am an assistant professor in Community Resources Development with Extension Service - a job where I can help people and communities by providing them with leadership and empowerment tools to develop. Through my various jobs, courses and yoga training, I have learned how to facilitate adult learning. I truly believe this is how yoga works; helping people help themselves. I have taught spinning and pilates and enjoy mountain biking, hiking, cross country and downhill skiing. I simply enjoy the outdoors where I get a sense of freedom and serenity. I love spending time with my husband and yellow lab who remind me of yoga principles every day. Certifications: Registered Yoga Teacher (Yoga Alliance)

About Heidi Sherwin
Specialties: Hatha Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Pre/Postnatal Yoga, Yoga for Labor & Childbirth, Partner Yoga Yoga brings me home. When I practice regularly, I feel at home in my body and I have the energy and awakened wisdom to maintain a joyful life-balance. When I teach, I am at home with my creative energy and service to others. In teaching, I honor the time I share with students and aim to provide a positive space where every student can feel safe and empowered to breathe, move, play, transform, rejuvenate, and ultimately find “home” in their radiant hearts and peaceful minds. I began my yoga journey in 1994 during a high school yoga class. Little did I know the profound effect this experience would play in my life. Throughout my undergraduate and graduate studies in arts education and arts administration, yoga was always a beacon to help me maintain mental focus, emotional balance, and physical strength. Throughout my early yoga practices, I explored several styles of yoga, including Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Kundalini. Shortly after moving to Morgantown, WV in 2007, my goal to become a yoga teacher manifested once I met Joanne VandenHengel. I excitedly enrolled in her 3rd Street Yoga 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Program and completed my certification in 2009. As a new yoga instructor, it was an honor to co-create the yoga program at BlissBlissBliss with Mary Jo Schick in 2009. Together with Elizabeth Halliday-Reynolds, we set into motion a space where the phrase “Yoga for everyBODY" was truth and continues to be its blissful mission. My teaching style is sincere, cheerful and eclectic, blending the traditional alignment principles of Hatha Yoga with my love of creative movement, playful expression, and awakened breathing. My interests in the therapeutic and spiritual aspects of yoga are also at the heart of my classes. I enjoy using thematic exploration to guide a series of classes and to kindle the union of postures, breathing, and mindfulness. My passion and interest in women-centered wellness inspired me to start the BlissMama Yoga Program, which includes yoga classes such as: prenatal, fertility, postnatal, mama & baby, and a Yoga & Birthing workshop for partners. In the spring of 2011, I completed the Pre/Postnatal Yoga Teacher Certification through Yoga Matrika with Sharon Fennimore, and I am currently on the certification path to become a DONA-certified Doula. I am also an assistant instructor for 3rd Street Yoga’s 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program offered annually at BlissBlissBliss. I take my yoga off the mat and into my world as a mother to three wonderful daughters, whom remind me daily that a joyful life exists in the NOW. Together with my husband, we seek and enjoy the simple pleasures of family-time, the great outdoors, and taking time to breathe. I would love to see you in a class soon! I am also available for specialized private yoga sessions for individuals or small groups. These private sessions are great for exploring one’s authentic and personal goals, or to get a group together for some collective yoga fun. Namaste! Tiny Trees (18 months - 5 years with adult) special event
with Angela Carver New!
30 minutes minutes
Tiny Trees (18 months - 5 years with adult) - 30 minutes - $12 each class Tiny Trees Yoga is for children 18 months – 5 years with an adult (parent, grandparent, nanny). Each class offers children an adventure using music, games and story to learn poses and aspects of yoga. The adult will model poses or help the child into the pose. Each class ends with relaxation and reading a book.
About Angela Carver
Specialty: Children’s yoga I started doing yoga when I was pregnant. I loved the yoga, the community with the other Moms and the send-off we got right before we delivered. I did Mom/Baby classes and returned to pre-natal yoga when I was pregnant with my second child. Then we moved and after arriving in WV, I found Bliss and started attending classes when I could. I also took my girls to Itsy Bitsy Yoga and they loved it. As my kids got older and needed me less I explored what I wanted to do and since I loved yoga and the girls enjoyed it I looked into kid’s yoga certifications. I found Child Light and was certified in the summer of 2013. That fall, my oldest daughter was in a bicycle accident with facial/mouth injuries. While in the emergency room, we both survived because of the breathing techniques I learned and had already shared with my daughters. The numbing gel and lidocaine did not work and she felt every stitch in her chin, but because we breathed together she didn’t move a muscle. Right then I knew the certification was worth it even if I never taught a class. But I’m so glad I did as the last 2 ½ years teaching kids 18 months to 12 years of age has been a joy and I love every minute. Classes are not like an adult class; using music, games and stories, but the smiles on their faces when they hold a pose and repeat positive affirmations gets me through any bad day. I teach or have taught at ELF (Morgantown Early Learning Facility), the Boys and Girls Club (two different elementary school after school programs), as well as volunteering at area school wellness nights and other community outreach programs. I love spending time with my husband Jeffrey and daughters, Samantha and Madelyn, as well as our two dogs Nikki and Tilly. I served as PTO President at Mountainview Elementary, President of the Children’s Discovery Museum of West Virginia which is now Spark! Imagination and Science Center where I am currently the fundraising chair. Certification: CLY TT Basic

New Body Yoga
with Tonya Madia
1 hour minutes
Our bodies are ever changing and evolving. Circumstances related to acute or chronic illness, injury, health conditions, or the process of aging create for us a body that may feel quite new and different than the body we were once used to inhabiting. Adapting to and accepting this new body is crucial to well-being. The "New Body" yoga class is purposefully designed For anyone who has felt an impact on their yoga practice, after surgery, illness or birthdays. This 60-minute class will focus on modifications geared specifically to learn the capabilities of your new body. Breathing and guided meditation techniques are also incorporated to promote molecular changes which result in beneficial changes to mental and physical health and lead ultimately, to an even NEWER body, one that is freer from the pain and limitations.

As an author, massage therapist, Reiki Master, and Yoga teacher I am passionate about helping others on their journey to wellness. I began studying meditation 16 years ago, began practicing Hatha yoga in 2009 and completed my 200 Hour teacher training in 2012. My passion for sharing yoga with others comes from the knowledge that yoga has the potential to transform us from the inside out. By creating a union between mind, body and breath, yoga establishes the welcoming path that leads us home to ourselves. I work with each of my clients to individually tailor sessions that bring body and mind into balance. I have been a student of the human energy system and energy healing for 17 years. I was originally schooled in Pranic Energy Healing in 2000 and received my Level 3 Reiki Certification in 2009. I feel truly blessed to be on this journey and look forward to meeting you as I travel this path. Restorative Yoga 75 min.
with Karen Kalafat
1 hour 15 minutes minutes
Restorative yoga is a practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. During the long holds of restorative yoga, your muscles are allowed to relax deeply. Props like blankets, blocks, pillows and bolsters, rather than your muscles, are used to support your body in restful postures. Poses are held longer than in more active yoga classes to enhance the releasing of stress, muscular tightness, or any other factors that leave one feeling imbalanced.
About Karen Kalafat
I began my yoga journey in 2002 after I moved to Colorado. I had been diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and was struggling with lower back pain. I sampled all different kinds of yoga, including Iyengar and Hatha. Yoga was not a magic cure, for I went on to have a herniated disc a few years later that required surgery. The ongoing weakness in my lumbar spine requires that I keep a strong core, or the pain returns. Yoga practice is magical in that it helps me manage these spinal issues, along with life's other stresses. I moved to WV in 2011 and experienced a personal challenge rebuilding my yoga practice in a new location. After some encouragement by fellow yoginis, I decided to enroll in teacher training to deepen my knowledge, and be more able to share my passion for this wonderful practice. I completed my yoga teacher training in 2015 through Pittsburgh's 3rd Street Yoga School and Morgantown's BlissBlissBliss studio. I have a passion for teaching, the outdoors and our environment, and how to tie it all together with sustainable living. There is nothing quite like a home-grown tomato, and what I can't grow, I try to buy from local, organic sources. I make a lot of my own home-care and cleaning products using simple non-toxic ingredients and essential oils. I am pursuing my MS in Design at WVU with a focus in sustainability and university teaching, and have a professional accreditation (LEED AP ID+C) through the US Green Building Council. I believe that yoga is a wonderful framework within which to pursue a healthy mind, body and soul to allow us to enjoy and appreciate this amazing world we inhabit.

Ashtanga Yoga
with Zach & Rachel Dyer
1 hour minutes
Ashtanga Yoga is generally thought of as structured sets of postures practiced vinyasa-style. The method coordinates movement with breath and steady gazing with the eyes. There are three groups of Ashtanga Yoga movement sequences: the Primary Series, which is also known as “yoga therapy” and cleanses the physical body; the Intermediate Series, the purpose of which is cleansing of the nervous system; and Advanced Series A – D, which develop strength and grace. This one-hour led/guided class is a modified Half-Primary: we begin with sun salutations followed by the standing postures, then move on to the Primary Series, backbending, and closing postures. This class is conducted in the traditional Sanskrit count. Appropriate for all levels.

Hot Vinyasa
with Melita Mollohan
1 hour minutes
The word “vinyasa” can be translated as “arranging something in a special way,” In a vinyasa yoga class, poses are arranged in a special way.The intention of the poses is to create an intentional space. In this class strength, balance, and breath are woven together to create a flow. The room is intentionally heated because of the many benefits heat offers to your body. Heat protects your muscles as they move through their full range of motion. Endorphins are released helping to reverse the negative effects of stress.

Monthly Messages From Spirit
with Tonya Madia
1 hour 15 minutes minutes
During a Messages from Spirit session Tonya will receive and relay messages from Spirit. She will share the information that comes through as it relates to guidance for the participants of each session. Messages might apply individually or to the whole group. Messages may provide confirmation from Spirit or possibly serve as validation. This is an interactive event and guests are lead through a guided meditation for the purpose of setting a clear intention at the beginning of the session. During a session Tonya receives information in the form of intuitive thoughts, feelings, images, and sounds. As a Medium she often sees spirits and the images that they show her. Every spirit communicates differently, and Tonya likes to think of them as simply people without bodies. Although she cannot control who “comes through” during each session, she is a firm believer that messages received are always the right message at the right time. It is important that those in attendance come with an open mind to receive messages. Tonya Madia is an author, Reiki Master, medium, yoga teacher, and massage therapist who believes in the importance of cultivating and trusting your intuition. Arrive early to make yourself a cup of tea. You will settle in a yoga room. We have folding chairs, blankets, mats and bolsters for your comfort. **This is a $15 Workshop. Not a yoga pass. Walk ins are welcome - but it is exciting to see that you have registered in advance.**
About Tonya Madia
Certifications: Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist, Registered YogaTeacher, Reiki Master Teacher, LMBT
