About Tiffany Maqubela
Tiffany Maqubela is a RYT-200 vinyasa yoga instructor registered with Yoga Alliance, who received her certification at the Buddha B Yoga Center in Washington, DC. She discovered yoga through a free class in Southeast and was immediately amazed by the physical and spiritual benefits of the practice. As a yoga teacher, Tiffany hopes to contribute to the diversity of instructors and encourage all people, regardless of size, age, ability, or color, to feel a part of the world of yoga. In her classes, she intends to help students embrace themselves within their individual practice and to find a moment of peace on the mat that can be carried into their daily lives. Tiffany has completed training in restorative yoga and holds an 85-hour certification in prenatal yoga. She is an alumna of Howard University, obtaining a B.A. in History and a M.Ed. in Educational Administration and Policy. Currently residing in Cheverly, MD, Ms. Maqubela is a stay-at-home mother who enjoys reading, manicures and pedicures, and binge watching online series with her husband.

Pinky balances her ‘day job’ in finance and consulting with her dedication to wellness through movement and breath. She first took yoga just as a supplement to her athletic based training. But she then began to appreciate yoga’s healing qualities and benefits, both mental and physical, and was hooked. She is an RYT-200 Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher, a certified cardio kickboxing instructor, and certified Group Exercise instructor with the American Council on Exercise (ACE). Pinky believes yoga is for everybody and every body. She is grateful for the wisdom, sincerity, and inspiration received from all her teachers and strives to pay it forward in her teaching.

Reduce Stress through the gentle practice of Tai Chi Chuan. This ancient Chinese martial art form helps relax the mind and body through slow gentle movements. This 45 minute class is appropriate for adolescents, adults and seniors! Tai Chi Chuan or Taijiquan is a no contact martial art that is used as a movement meditation. It is appropriate for all ages and great for improving balance, reducing stress and lowering anxiety. The movements learned in this class will help you to make the connection between body, breath, mind, energy and spirit as you relax.

Elizabeth Nyang started studying Tai Chi and Kung Fu since 2009. She is a licensed mental health therapist and integrates meditation yogic breathing techniques with tai chi postures to form a relaxing movement meditation.

Buti Yoga (Indian Marathi in Origin; "the cure to something hidden or kept secret") is a dynamic asana practice fused with primal movement, tribal dance and deep core engagement. Buti Yoga utilizes the Spiral Structure Technique to sculpt and tone the deep abdominal muscles that stabilize and strengthen the body. Instead of linear movements, Buti favors movements that challenge the body along all planes of motion, while also awakening Shakti energy.
