About Brooksley Williams
Associate Director Brooksley Williams has been working as an Ayurvedic Practitioner since 2000. She received her initial training at the California College of Ayurveda, apprenticed with Vaidyas Mamta Landerman in the Bay Area and Myrica Morningstar in Kauai, and completed advanced studies in Ayurveda and Panchakarma in India. Before returning to the East Coast in 2002, Ms. Williams operated a thriving private practice in San Francisco, where she also served on the Board of Directors for the California College of Ayurveda. In 2005 she completed her training as a holistic nutritional counselor at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She received her BA in Psychology from Oberlin College. Fluent in American Sign Language, Ms. Williams has also worked as a professional sign language interpreter in the greater Pioneer Valley. She has practiced Ayurveda and Nutritional Counseling in the Northampton area since 2005 through her company, Eat Consciously, and is now a happy member of the Valley Ayurveda family.

Tai Chi Introductory Class 5 weeks
with Dorian Gregory

In this Introduction to Tai Chi and Qigong, I teach the history and fundamentals of these two related arts, with a strong focus on breath, alignment, proper body mechanics, and fun, flowing movement. I will share a simple set of Qigong exercises that the student can begin practicing immediately. (There will be a different qigong set taught each series tuned especially to the season and the participants). Make qigong and tai chi a part of your daily life.

A passionate and gifted Taijiquan (Tai Chi) and Qigong (Chi Kung) instructor, Dorian Gregory, MA, CPA, is a lifelong martial artist and a former senior manager with the international accounting and auditing firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, where she conducted financial statement audits and advised publicly-traded companies, colleges and universities, non-profits, and privately-held businesses. She has taught Tai Chi and Qigong in North America and Europe, and specializes in the Yang-style full traditional curriculum and in Tai chi-based Stress Management and Wellness Programs for businesses of all kinds, large and small.

This Tai Chi and Qigong On-going Class is for students who have taken at least one of the introductory class series and who wish to dive deeper into the study of tai chi. In this class, we focus on the tai chi solo form, the intrinsic energies of tai chi and we develop the skills of sensing hands – the ability to listen, understand and receive the energy of another. Nurture your regular practice of qigong and tai chi.
