Come and Bring a Friend for a 6-month series offered by Skippack Acupuncture! You can join us for a single session or the entire series! Who: For Tweens/Teens ages 12 to 18 years old. What: Focus of the practice will be learning how to quite the Mind, Meditation, Breath, Yoga Postures. When: Every Third Sunday of the month from 10:30am - 12:00pm Cost: $20.00 per Class, if series is paid for in full, cost will be reduced to $15.00 per session Class size limited to 10 mats so sign up early and reserve your spot on the mat!Snacks will be provided. Dates: 10/22/17; 11/19/17; 12/17/17; 1/21/18; 2/18/18; 3/18/18.

Happy Core, Happy Body! Kris is excited to share her knowledge and expertise with her Pilates Mat class being offered at 11:00am on Friday mornings at Skippack Acupuncture! Pilates is a way to stretch and strengthen your body, primarily focusing on the muscles of the core, which span from your hips to your shoulders. Mat Pilates is done on the floor using an exercise or yoga mat, which employs controlled breathing during body weight resisted movement to build core strength. Exercises in mat Pilates can also involve basic Pilates equipment such as a Pilates ring, resistance band, or weighted balls. Pilates mat is an All Levels class. Modifications are always available.

Yin Yoga
with Mary Foering

Yoga is a means of connecting the mind to the body with the breath. In the specific branch of yoga called yin, one has an opportunity to delve deeper into self-care and acceptance. Physically, one can expect to hold a pose for an extended period of time (3-7 minutes) with the intention of elongating the web matrix of connective tissue that encapsulates the body. This enhances flexibility and mobility with consistent effort. Mentally, yin acts as a gateway to meditation. It softens and slows down thought processes and allows the student an opportunity to examine thoughts and patterns in a kinder way. Overall, yin is an imperative balance in stillness to the high momentum lifestyle we lead. Come with an open heart! Leave with it filled.
